Our Story
Our effort began in the Fall of 2022 after receiving a generous Pablo Foundation "No Mow May" grant, as the Chippewa Valley Pollinator Partnership. This work led to inviting entomologist and professor Dr. Doug Tallamy to town to speak at the Chippewa Valley Book Festival. Subsequently, we strongly advocated for his seminal book, "Nature's Best Hope" as the 2023 Eau Claire Library's One Community/ One Book selection. It was selected with many community activities and book groups following. This groundswell led to our commitment to carrying out Dr. Tallamy's insightful "Nature's Best Hope" activities under our new name--The Chippewa Valley Biodiversity Partnership (Fall 2023). This name better represents the breadth of our collaborative work.
